DynamicMarkets GmbH offers purchasers and supplier companies access to an online marketplace for parts as per drawing at www.TechPilot.net. Here, technical purchasers have free access to detailed company profiles of supplier companies from all areas of technology. On the other hand, sales staff gain insights into the current demand situation of potential customers and can thus immediately identify relevant needs in a complex market. So TechPilot allows both sides to run efficient searches, guaranteeing economical and successful sourcing processes.
Business initiation is effected via a tender platform on which technical purchasers can place RFQs and actively request quotes. The software then runs a supplier selection by referring to the company profiles stored in the system. The RFQ specifications of the purchasers are compared with the machine profiles of the registered supplier companies. For the supplier companies, this means that they receive RFQs through the marketplace which ideally fit their range of services. On the purchaser side, it is ensured that companies selected have the optimum equipment to produce at low cost.
A central TechPilot activity is to maintain and extend the supplier database. Since 2000, TechPilot staff have been involved in researching high-performance supplier companies so as to ensure that the company profiles stored are always up to date. Due to TechPilot’s presence at trade fairs and events and on the internet, there are always new supplier companies registering, entering company presentations with manufacturing capacities and contact data.
On the purchaser side, there are currently over 10,000 visits per month with purchasers running supplier searches or submitting RFQs. In addition, a sales-oriented research team contacts purchasers from well-known companies on an ongoing basis, so the business potential of the marketplace is growing all the time.
