Our name is known and our performance is valued. Over the past few decades, Schmidt's customer database has been continuously filled with well-known companies.

More than 390 employees are currently spread across three locations. Ready-to-install components and assemblies are manufactured at the headquarters in Westhausen, Swabia. In addition to the latest CNC machining technology, multi-stage manufacturing processes are also installed here.

The location in Eberswalde in Brandenburg was founded in 2010 to create production capacities for automotive projects in particular. The state-of-the-art machine park currently covering 12,000 m² enables efficient large-scale production with a maximum degree of automation at the highest technical level.

At the beginning of 2016, we started series production at our newest location in the USA in Auburn, Alabama.

The classics - turning and milling - are still the central processes at Schmidt. Individually tailored to the respective product segment, Schmidt always has the right production facility, regardless of whether it is to be processed from the bar or in the chuck.
Over the years, further manufacturing technologies have been continuously integrated into our process chains. This includes, for example, swaging and axial forming. For most components, there are also various downstream operations on the plan, such asB. hardening processes, cylindrical grinding and surface finish individually tailored to the component.


Our quality management system is certified according to ISO / TS 16949: 2009. As a direct supplier to well-known OEMs, our quality structure is based on the rules and criteria of the VDA. In this context, tools such as failure mode and influence analyzes FMEA, statistical process control SPC and VDA supplier audits are part of our daily work.
