Therefore, we have positioned ourselves at the top where our core competences lie.» Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM): In 1969, we bought our first electrical discharge machine, which has been the foundation for our most important core capability. EDM very soon proved to be one of the promising new key technologies in metalworking. We have continually expanded our experience in die sinking and wire EDM and, these days, count ourselves amongst the leading contract manufacturers for precise metal machining. It is not the ten machines that we productively utilise every day that are getting us further, but the very high standards of our customers for surface quality and precision forming. The advantages of EDM are: no mechanical stress to the metal piece, no limitations through hard metal grade or shape, high degree of machine autonomy, greater design possibilities at engineering level. Only an EDM-compatible design will profit from all EDM benefits – a piece of advice our customers will gladly follow. Tungsten carbide working: «It is the combination of knowledge of materials and knowledge of methods that form a basis for the skilled working of hard metal.» We have managed to form a solid base to work tungsten carbide parts efficiently by liaising intensively with the outstanding tungsten carbide manufacturer Metzger Ltd, Lotzwil/Switzerland, and by meeting the very high standards of our customers. We support our customers when it comes to choosing the right hard metal and the most suitable methods such as grinding and abrasion, polishing and extrude-honing and also provide the handling during and after the production process. Only perfectly manufactured hard metal parts will convince the customer to pay a higher unit price. Laser Machining: As with EDM, we decided early (1986) to go with this new key technology. We have been using the Nd:YAG pulsed laser (LASAG) for laser welding, cutting, drilling, marking and laser cladding. The high power pulse and high beam quality melt or vaporise nearly all known materials. Lasering is used to produce microstructures and to connect highly challenging geometrical shapes by conduction welding. The same rules apply as for EDM: only a laser-compatible design will be able to take advantage of all the benefits laser technology has to offer.

Galvanization Galvanization is the electrochemical process of protecting metal by electrlysis (oxidation/ reduction process that occurs at the electrodes during the passage of electrical current through the electrlyte). Galvanizing assure product protection from corrosion and wearability. As a base materials for process of galvanization appropriate are: steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminium or ABS plastics. In the process of galvanizing, one or more extremely thin layers of only a few µm (1/1000 mm) are deposited onto the base material in the so-called galvanic cell. The product that is going to be coated is immersed into a metal salt solution (electrolytes) and connected with the negative pole (cathode) of a direct current source. The metal that is going to be deposited also enters the conductive bath in the form of anodes (positive pole) and as salt split into ions. Under current conduction, the metal ion that is going to be deposited goes into solution and is activated by the cathode, which represents the part and deposited there as a metal coating. Our innovative broaching method differs in many respects from the conventional spaces.The main difference is in the design of the tool. This consists of lined cutting plates, using shims gaps are created, each forming the chip chamber. China manufacturing is located with two 250,000 square foot facilities based in Guangzhou and Shanghai with warehousing facilities in Poznan, Poland. China Enterprise UK Ltd – operates two modern 250,000 square foot manufacturing facilities in Guangzhou and Shanghai, China. Our premise is to take sub-contract customer manufacturing to China to reduce costs and improve bottom line customer profits. In-house manufacturing in China includes sheet metalwork & tubular manipulation, pressed parts & tooling, turned parts, full fabrication facilities, welding, plastic injection moulding & tool making as well as assembly lines for final assembly & electromagnetic integration. We also offer product consolidation for onwards shipping. We are fully ISO 9001 certified and hold approval certificates for many large OEM’s globally. We also hold both import and export licenses for China. We ship product to the UK, Australia, USA, France, South Africa, Poland, Japan, Holland, Ireland…… We handle and control all engineering and manufacturing processes as detailed above, all consolidation and shipping details and duty payments. Our prices reflect this service. We offer to carry a UK stockholding against customer order, deliver and operate customer kanban systems or direct to line call offs as well as direct shipping if preferred. Interface on any level would be with staff in Telford as we have UK engineers continuously working within the factory in China. We feel we are a unique business in offering a sub-contract manufacturing service from China. CEL Sheetmetal Ltd - offers customers the best of both worlds – solely UK manufactured sheet metal parts plus the potential to prototype and product develop for customers. We can then offer the option to transfer builds to our factory in China as well as continuing to supply solely UK manufactured parts. In-house capabilities include Laser cutting (including a new state of the art 5kw Trumpf laser cutting centre), CNC Punching, Tubular Laser Cutting and tubular manipulation, CNC Press braking plus all onwards fabrication capabilities. As with our China business we offer to carry a stockholding against customer order and deliver and operate kanban systems or direct to line call offs as required. CEL Logistics – is the distribution arm of the Group with the capability to delivery customer orders countrywide to required delivery schedules, run kanban and direct to line systems for customers as well as acting as a logistics hub for our China factories for onwards consolidation and customer distribution.
