    EXTRA-KOVINA d.o.o. is a family production company where we mainly offer services of mechanical processing of forgings and castings. In the last few years, we have also been engaged, to a lesser extent, in the production of die forge tools, as well as the construction and production of holding and drilling devices. The company was founded in 1991. In recent years, we are a rapidly-developing high-tech economic entity. We made great progress especially when we modernized our machine park, updated the associated processes and recruited the appropriate personnel, who brought the company to a higher level with additional knowledge. During the economic crisis (2008-2012), we realized that something will have to be done in terms of the development and orientation of the company, if we want to ensure the company's continued existence on the market. Therefore, we purchased a high-tech CNC machining centre in 2010, which was the first step towards modernizing the company and a big step towards long-term goals. In 2014, we, at the request of the foreign market, began to organize the necessary documentation and standardization of the company in order to obtain the ISO 9001 quality certificate, which is very important for foreign markets. In the autumn of the same year, we also obtained the quality certificate - ISO 9001: 2008. In the beginning of July 2014, on the basis of the forthcoming project for the purchase of a new CNC operating centre, the renovation of the existing workshop was started and the current office was moved (the latter was in the workshop) into modernly equipped premises of the nearby house. As part of the renovation, we have upgraded equipment such as two high-tech and reliable compressors, two large air purifiers / filters in the hall that vacuum the spray and saturated air with emulsion directly from machine tools, air conditioning of the premises, and also installed energy-efficient IR panels that contribute to less energy consumption and have a proven impact on the well-being of employees. Care for employees and the environments is very important to us. After the organization of the premises, we bought another CNC machining centre, which significantly increased the capacity of the company. At the end of 2014, we also purchased the CAD / CAM Solidworks and SolidCAM software package for drawing, modelling and production of CNC processing applications for forgings and castings, and, in addition, for the construction of die blacksmith tools and holding and drilling devices. At the end of 2015, we successfully implemented the project of obtaining a co-financed loan, which was announced by the SID investment bank, for the purchase of a third CNC machining centre. In the following years, we want to penetrate the market of die tools and the production of drilling and holding devices, which are products of higher added value, as we have found that there is a high demand on the market for these products. We are aware that with our many years of experience and knowledge we can penetrate the market of these products and design a new path in the development of the company in the future. In addition to the aforementioned ISO 9001:2015 quality certificate, we also have the SME Excellent certificate of financial reliability. The very slogan of the company, “Extra-metal – Extra quality”, means that the quality of the service or the product is our primary goal and we stick to it because we are aware that this is the only way to keep the current customers and convince the new ones. ​ Our products are present in the following sectors: Electrical industry; Automotive industry; Agricultural machinery; Mechanical engineering, etc.

    Aluminum can get forged? YES! Umformtechnik Radebeul GmbH specializes in drop forging parts made of aluminum. Design and construction of the tooling as well as mechanical machining are done quasi in house, using modern CAD/CAM equipment and up-to-date machinery. The Know-how of our personnel guarantees a solid, rapid, and professional handling of your welcomed orders. Depending on customer preference, we can initially create aluminum prototypes. We have 7 friction press machines with a press capacity of up to 16,000 kN available. Work pieces with up to 7 kg blank weight can be manufactured. A final treatment of the forged parts is optional. Chemical etching with sodium hydroxide or blasting with corundum, glass, aluminum or stainless steel balls gives the parts a special surface finish, which serves as the base for further surface refinement. We serve the automotive industry (2-wheel and 4-wheel) as well as manufacturers of valves, electrical fittings, awnings, solar technique, alpine sports industry and many others.
