Story ...
Nägeli Swiss AG is a family-run SME with around 25 employees and, as a supplier, manufactures customer-specific components with increased requirements in terms of material and precision.
The company was founded in 1941 by Ernst Nägeli in Arbon as a stamping shop and quickly established itself as an international sales market for ball bearing cages and screw locks (tooth lock washers and spring washers). In 1948 Ernst Nägeli moved production to the current location in Güttingen TG on Lake Constance. In 1956 and 1970, the premises were expanded and new production and office buildings were inaugurated.
Forming technology ...
In the following years and decades, the stamping and deep-drawing technology was continuously developed further, know-how for the processing of higher-quality material qualities developed and the competence strengthened to develop component and process-optimized solutions together with the customer. Today, Nägeli Swiss AG specializes not only in the processing of common deep-drawing steels, but also in the forming of rust-resistant stainless steels, aluminum, brass and titanium with material thicknesses of 0.04 to approx. 3 mm. The internal tool design and in-house tool making ensure that the development time until delivery of the first sample is minimized. With the in-house hardening shop and the assembly of modules, interesting follow-up operations can also be offered from a single source.
In addition to the supply of components to B2B customers, Nägeli Swiss AG also produces a finished product with the Nägeli-PICA cutters. Thanks to a special blade geometry, the pruning shears, pruning shears and pruning shears produced by cutting and forming technology minimize the force required. Together with a scissor holder and a saw, this results in a unique cutting set that is very popular with both professionals and hobby gardeners.
Fiber composite ...
The company has also been involved in fiber composite technology since the mid-1980s. From product development to prototypes, one-off production and series production, Nägeli Swiss AG is an expert contact. The versatility of the material continuously widens the range of parts and customers - for example, the project portfolio includes components for aerospace, aerospace, sports, hydropower, Formula 1, mechanical engineering and the music industry. In 1994, the company received the certificate as an approved supplier for the European aerospace industry as part of a series production of components for the Dornier DO328 aircraft. In 2006, the iF Gold Award - a European design award - for a robot arm for the packaging industry was accepted. Since then, a large number of other industries have also been supplied with specifically developed fiber composite products, such as for bed suspensions, space components or components for various musical instruments.
