Company description
The machining of steel is our core competence. Kovac steel has its headquarters in Graz and has about 50 employees who serve our customers with great competence at 2 locations. Due to continued growth we are now one of the leading providers in Austria as well as in foreign markets - rising exports are among others to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hungary.

With over 16 years experience in laser processing of sheets and tubes and a total of 12 laser cutting machines at 3 locations Kovac steel is the absolute market leader in this field in Austria. Kovac steel has taken already in 1994 its first laser cutting system in operation and until today expanded its machinery continuously. State of the art equipment in conjunction with highly qualified staff and an extensive warehouse assure the supply of parts to the highest quality and shortest delivery times.
Application

Laser cutting is used where complex shapes are required for precise, fast processing and almost force-free processing.Laser cutting is opening up more and more applications in sheet metal processing and is known for quality. Compared to alternative methods, such as stamping, laser cutting can be used economically even at very low quantities. The high degree of flexibility, coupled with an almost unlimited material and shapes that give rise to global recognition as an indispensable basic technology. The kerfs are burr or even free of burrs and must therefore be rare reworked.
